Anyone who has been involved with article marketing for any length of time will know that the dreaded ‘block’ can plague us at anytime!  It’s essential we overcome this.

If you are building traffic to your website through article marketing then you will know how important it is to keep pumping out the goods.  Sometimes you just don’t feel like doing it, or worse still you simply run out of ideas.  I know, I have found it very tough at times.

It’s important to remember that consistency is crucial when article marketing, Google loves websites that have new content added to them on a regular basis.  You really need to be adding new articles every day until you have reached your traffic goals (after that pay someone else to do it).  If you stick to the game plan then you will find Google will index your new material VERY fast, normally when I add a new post to my blog it’s indexed within a couple of minutes.  I’ve tested this many times by using the ’site:”xxx”‘ in Google search.

If ever you don’t feel like writing an article that day then just imagine the power of having your content indexed and ranked within a minute or so!  Another motivating tip I would suggest to you is to get the Alexa ‘Sparky’ tool, this will show your Alexa ranking when you visit your own site.  Seeing your Alexa ranking improve week by week is VERY motivating as it shows progress.

Check your target keywords in Google about once or twice a week, see how you’re doing in the rankings.  Don’t get obsessed with this though!  I’ve seen my sites pop up for various keywords on page 1 and it just proves that the strategy is benefiting my site.  Very motivating!

Just make sure that you get one article out every day, make it part of your daily routine.  Even if you think it’s not up to your usual standard, just get it out there, you can always tweak it later.  Even if you don’t do any keyword research just choose a topic and write.  Can’t think of a topic?  Then just do some random searches in Google relating to your niche with an open mind and I guarantee you will find something to write about.

Above all remember why you are doing article marketing.  It may take 3 months of solid work, but who cares when in 3-6 months you will be having hundreds of visitors a day visiting your website, opting in to your sales funnel, earning you affiliate commissions and joining up with your business.  All on auto pilot whilst you take a well earned holiday!

There’s a good old saying, ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’  It’s the same with your internet business, you must push through those times when you think ‘oh **** this isn’t gonna work!’  Success takes hard work and time and what we are doing here is no quick fix, it’s a long term strategy that will serve us for years to come.
